Start your Day Tour early in the morning from Delhi to Sariska. You can either hire a private car or take a public bus to reach Sariska. The distance between Delhi and Sariska is approximately 200 kilometers, and the journey takes around 4-5 hours depending on traffic conditions.
Once you reach Sariska, head straight to the Sariska Tiger Reserve. It is a popular wildlife sanctuary known for its tiger population and diverse flora and fauna. The reserve opens at 6:00 AM, so try to reach there as early as possible to maximize your chances of spotting wildlife.
Take a safari ride into the Sariska Tiger Reserve. The park offers both jeep safaris and canter safaris. Jeep safaris are more intimate and can accommodate a smaller group of people, while canter safaris are larger vehicles that can accommodate more people. During the safari, you may come across tigers, leopards, deer, monkeys, and a variety of bird species. The safari usually lasts for about 3-4 hours.
After the safari, you can have lunch at one of the restaurants or resorts near the reserve. There are several options available that serve both local and international cuisine.
After lunch, you can visit the Sariska Palace, which is located near the reserve. The palace was once the hunting lodge of the royal family of Alwar and has now been converted into a heritage hotel. You can explore the palace, stroll through its gardens, and enjoy the panoramic views of the surrounding area.
If you have some extra time, you can visit other attractions in and around Sariska. Some popular options include the ancient Neelkanth Temple, Pandupol Hanuman Temple, and the Bhangarh Fort, which is known for its haunted tales.
In the late afternoon or early evening, start your journey back to Delhi. You can either hire a cab or take a public bus, depending on your preference
The one‑day trip to Sariska from Delhi usually lasts 10–12 hours, including early morning pickup from Delhi, transfer to Sariska, jeep safari, lunch, and return to Delhi in the evening.
Sariska Tiger Reserve is about 180–210 km from Delhi, and the drive generally takes 4–5 hours one way, depending on traffic and your exact pickup point in Delhi or NCR.
You will be picked up from your hotel or preferred location in Delhi or NCR in an air‑conditioned car and dropped back to the same place or a nearby location after the safari and return journey.
Most packages include private car and driver from Delhi, Sariska entry permit, wildlife safari in a gypsy/jeep, and sometimes lunch. Any extra snacks, beverages, or personal purchases are usually paid on‑site.
Tiger sightings cannot be guaranteed, as wildlife is unpredictable. However, Sariska is home to tigers, leopards, deer, and birds, and the safari is conducted in core zones known for frequent animal sightings.
